Old cottages, Glamis
This row of late 18thC cottages was originally built for estate workers, but in more recent times became the Angus Folk Museum. That was forced to close in 2017 due to structural problems and the museum collection is now scattered about with some at the House of Dun near Montrose.

Angus Folk Museum Kirkwynd
Category B listed row of 6 cottages built in 1793 by the Earl of Strathmore for workers of the Glamis Estate. Lady Maitland founded the Angus Folk Collection in 1958 and it was run by local trustees until handed over to the National Trust for Scotland in 1974. Earlier plans show the cottages extending into what is now the car park.

Celtic Cross slab
This 8th Century stone slab is situated in the garden of a former manse. The church is in the background. However,local legend has it that the stone marks the burial place of Malcolm II. Malcolm II who died 25 November 1034 was King of the Scots from 1005 until his death.
