Old mileplate
This milepost on Boat Road in Newport is near the jetty. It is one of the few mileposts and milestones recorded by the Milestone Society throughout Great Britain that has a zero mileage. There are many mileposts in Fife but this route through Cupar is the only one with this exact style of post. On the road to Cupar only milepost 'Newport 11' has not been found.
