Historic milepost at Newport Ferry Terminal
Distances on the route to Edinburgh in the days when ferry passengers connected here with horse-drawn stage coaches. Pettycur offered them a 'comfort stop' at New Inn (where the horses were changed out).

Milestone Newport on Tay
There are many well preserved milestone or cast iron wayside markers throughout Fife. This one in Newport is one of the earliest in Fife and is dated 1824.
