Former Submarine Miners' Depot
This building forms the remaining part of the depot constructed for the Tay Division Submarine Miners RE (Volunteers), raised on 17 March 1888.

Former submarine mining depot, Broughty Ferry
This is the last remaining building of the submarine mining depot which was constructed in 1886-87. In the event of war, this station would lay a defensive minefield across the Tay.

Broughty Ferry
I am not sure what the purpose of the building in the background is. It stands near the castle. Update: 25 July 2011 I have been informed by fellow Geograph member Keith Edkins that the building is the remains of Broughty Castle Barracks and is used by various organisations such as Civil Defence Scotland and Shanwell Wildlife Rescue Trust.
