Baxter Park Pavilion
Baxter Park and the Pavilion opened in 1863. The pavilion and Sir David Baxter's statue within it, had suffered from vandalism, however, the building has now been cleaned and restored, and forms an impressive centrepiece to the park.

Baxter Park Pavilion
Baxter Park Pavilion Dundee. The park was gifted to Dundee in 1863 by Sir David Baxter and his sisters Eleanor and Mary Ann. Designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, the park was opened by Lord Russell, the then Prime Minister.The pavilion was designed by G H Stokes, Paxton's nephew.

Baxter Park, Dundee
The money for the purchase of the land and laying out of Baxter park came from the Baxter family who owned flax and jute mills in the city. Designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, the park was opened by Lord Russell, the Prime Minister, in 1863.

Baxter Park Gates
Baxter Park is the only complete park wholly designed by Sir Joseph Paxton in Scotland. It was designed between 1862-63. The railings have been replaced as much of the iron work was taken down during the war.
