Old Milestone by the A228, London Road, Swanscombe and Greenhithe Parish
Metal plates attached to stone post by the A226, in parish of SWANSCOMBE AND GREENHITHE (DARTFORD District), London Road, junction with Knockhall Chase, opposite Greenhithe Car Centre, in stone sets by low wooden railings, on South side of road. Gravesend iron plate, erected by the Dartford & Strood turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

Rivet benchmark on top representing 104.56 ft ASL.

Ingress Park
Ingress Park is an extensive development of executive homes to the east of Greenhithe. They are built in a semi regency style that Prince Charles would probably approve of. The houses look very nice from the outside but as a visitor I found the estate rather like a maze, it took me some time to escape!
