Harenc Preparatory School, Foots Cray, Kent
Built in 1915 and rebuilt in 1982, this is a perfect example of how a small functional building can be a real enhancement to its surroundings.

Pender monument, Foots Cray Churchyard
This impressive monument which rather dominates the churchyard of All Saints is to Sir John Pender. Pender was a communications cable pioneer who was in charge of the first successful laying of a transatlantic cable, and also founded Cable and Wireless.
