Derrington Avenue, Crewe
The houses here, with their bay windows and front gardens, are slightly superior to those on the streets at right angles to Derrington Avenue, which lack either. Crewe's origins are firmly rooted in the Victorian age with the railway works being the major employer , later followed by the Rolls Royce motor works. Fortunately, the town has retained much of its original housing stock.
