Stile leading onto A500
The public footpath here follows the course of the former Smithy Lane, now severed by the A500. Crossing the usually busy A500 at this point is a perilous exercise, with traffic speeding in both directions at 60 mph or so.

Barthomley bowling club
The club was founded in 1924. In August 2013 a new £20,000 pavilion was unveiled, funded from the National Lottery and a community grant.
