Macclesfield Canal at Hightown in Congleton, Cheshire
This is the canal looking east through the arch of Hightown Bridge (No 74) crossing the Macclesfield Canal. This was originally a farmer's accommodation bridge, but now serves Morley's the breakfast cereal and bakers' ingredients importer. Perhaps it is called Morley's Bridge now, because names would be changed over the years to reflect the prevailing landowners' names.

Canal bridges in Congleton, Cheshire
This is the Macclesfied Canal, looking west as it passes through Hightown.
Hightown Bridge is No 74, and carries the Morley Drive cul-de-sac, which serves the John Morley dried fruit importer warehouse. Next are the A527 flyover, and Park Lane Bridge (No 75), followed by a railway bridge, then Morris Bridge (No 76), which is a turnover bridge allowing the towpath to change sides.

Hightown Bridge in Congleton, Cheshire
Hightown Bridge is No 74 crossing the Macclesfield Canal across the Macclesfield Canal. Despites its relative grandeur, it probably originated purely as a farmer's accommodation bridge to allow field access. Now its main purpose is to serve the rather isolated Morley's Importers site* at the end of Morley Drive.
Narrowboat "Silhouette" is about to navigate through the bridge hole. He didn't scrape the sides :-)
(Morley’s is a leading supplier to bakers, breakfast cereal and food manufacturers, providing a wide range of ingredients selected from over 20 countries around the world by an experienced team of experts. Products include sultanas, raisins, currants, apricots, figs, dates, almonds, hazelnuts, coconut, bananas, apples, cranberries, orange and lemon peel, glacé cherries and many other ingredients, including mincemeats and fruit fillings).
