Sandbach Literary Institute
This is the Bradwall Road end of the building, which is one of the most prominent in the town centre, built 1857 to the designs of George Gilbert Scott who had restored the parish church some ten years earlier. Listed grade II (list entry 1130351).

Sandbach Literary Institution
The recently refurbished Fountain in a new'ish flower bed in front of the subject in the title. One of the many impressive buildings in Sandbach designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and built by Samuel Faram of Wheelock in 1857. The Sandbach Literary Institution is a Grade II Listed Building held in trust "To provide an avenue for social, educational & cultural activities for the population of the market town of Sandbach."
The Drinking Fountain is also a Grade II Listed Building.
