Back gardens of Henry Street and Arthur Street
The back gardens of houses in Henry St and Arthur St, seen in the early morning.
Latticework fences in the centre of the picture mark the line of the Tanyard Stream, which runs between the gardens parallel to the line of houses.

Houses built by James Barber in Arthur Street
This row of houses (odd numbers 9 to 47) were constructed by builder James Barber of Clinton Lane on land purchased by him from Arthur Street on 21st October 1933 for the sum of £663.12.0. The land had a street frontage of 377 feet and an area of 4124 square yards. The land had previously been allotments for a few years as they are marked as such on an 1920's OS map. James Barber progressed quickly with the construction of the houses as they were being sold by March 1934.

Houses built by Kenilworth UDC, Arthur Street
This line of houses (odd numbers 49 - 63, plus others on the opposite side of the street) were built by Kenilworth Urban District Council on land purchased by them in 1933. They are very similar in design to those adjacent built for private rent and sale by James Barber, but have hipped roofs instead of gable ends.
