Blossom and daffodils, Priory Road
In the grounds of St Nicholas School (seen on the right). The tarmac path in the foreground and the railings are new. The public footpath on the other side of the railing is called The Blundells. The house in the middle background is in Richards Close.

The Blundells footpath, Kenilworth
Many people use this footpath to get from the Albion Street area to the town centre shops. This is the point at which it crosses Priory Road, looking towards the town centre.
The sign says 'Warwickshire County Council - U.D.C. of Kenilworth - The riding of bicycles, tricycles or other similar machines on this footpath is prohibited under bye-laws made by the Warwickshire County Council and approved by the Secretary of State'
This dates it from before 1974, when the Kenilworth UDC was absorbed into Warwick District Council.

Priory Road, Kenilworth
A useful selection of businesses at the start of Priory Road - RSD Tool Hire, Knit One wool shop, Accountancy House and Kenilworth Cobblers. The building on the right, on the corner of Abbey Hill was obviously also a shop at one time, but not within my memory.

The Abbey, Priory Road, Kenilworth
The building was built as the Abbey Hotel in the 1890's, and converted in to flats c1982.
Stan Laurel stayed at the hotel in 1947 whilst appearing at the Coventry Hippodrome. See http://www.laurelandhardythebritishtours.com/coventry.html
