The Firs consists of 35 flats for rent by older people and is managed by a housing association. It was built in 1975 and refurbished in 2003.

Maxstoke Lane off Fillongley Road, Meriden
Meriden stands at a busy crossroads and is close to the A45 Coventry-Birmingham dual carriageway. Local roads have been adapted to improve connections, safety and flow. Maxstoke Lane, an old road, has become a short residential road that continues north as a footpath. New properties have been shoehorned in among older houses.

Technically, just no 2 - the other half of this pair of 17th century timber-framed cottages hides away behind a tall hedge rather effectively. Premises adjoining the Centre of England Stores
The title is pretty much the description given to this 17th century house, timber framed, which formerly had a role as a shop fronting onto the main road next to Image and is now the local library. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101031833-premises-adjoining-centre-of-england-stores-on-east-meriden#.Xdpw--j7TIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1031833 in 1976. The frontage is of relatively little historical interest compared to the rear wing here.

The (former) Centre of England Stores, Meriden
