Windmill Lane joins Waste Lane at Catchems Corner
A collection of houses at Catchems Corner, the one on the right of the junction (at the far end of the extended roof over the pair of doors) has two large windows, and very probably was the local shop at one time. This is confirmed by an email that I received in late 2022 from a lady who lived across the road in the late 1940s, and who informs me that she would buy sweets here with her post-wartime coupons.

Old Waste Lane
It appears that Old Waste Lane was once the route of the road from Balsall to Tile Hill but it had a very sharp right hand bend which has now been bypassed leaving this lane as a bit of a backwater with rather posh houses now built on it.

Berkswell Windmill
This is in the cap looking at the clasp arm wooden brake wheel. The band brake is of wood block construction and applied to its rim. the windshaft is wooden. I was left to wander at will and it's very nice to get access to the cap.
