Site of Standard-Triumph factory
The Standard-Triumph factory occupied the southern half of SP3078 during much of the 20th century. This photo was taken shortly after the last remaining shadow factory building, dating from the 1930s, had been demolished and cleared. The rest of the site had been cleared in preceding years and industrial/business units had been constructed, some of which can be seen, including the side wall of a large supermarket, on the left. A last, lingering link is the Unipart name on the two white warehouses. Small to medium-sized business units now occupy the foreground area.

Site of Canley Level Crossing, Coventry
As part of the West Coast Main Line upgrade the 3 level crossings between Coventry and Birmingham have recently been eliminated. The newer ballast shows the site of "Canley Gates". The road has been diverted and a footbridge provided for pedestrians and to maintain access to the adjacent station.

Industrial units, Canley
Industrial units flank the north and south sides of the Coventry to Birmingham railway line. Those on the northern side are on the former Standard-Triumph car plant site, now the Coventry Business Park. On the south side, factories of various dates from the 1930s.
