The bass player in my band lives here and we regularly shatter the peace of this pleasant leafy avenue by rehearsing in his house. This was taken looking towards Earlsdon.

Moth caterpillar on a pole
A hairy visitor to the allotments, pretty easy to spot against a hazel pole. Best guesses for the identity of the furry fella are knot grass moth or brown-tail moth.

Angle shades moth on comfrey leaves
Angle shades - sounds more like an item of interior decoration than a rather attractive moth - otherwise known as Phlogophora meticulosa.
This particular one was having a lucky day as it emerged from a pile of comfrey leaves that I'd just started chopping up. It kindly paused for me to fetch my camera and take a photo before flying off when I tapped the leaf.
