Cottages at Preston
These cottages are probably not that old, but seem older. I like the way they have been painted in subtly different, complementary colours. The Shakespeare's Way passes along here.

Preston-on-Stour church
Preston-on-Stour church is dedicated to St Mary. The tower is late 15th century; the chancel was rebuilt from 1753, the nave's north and south windows date from 1757, and is by Edward and Thomas Woodward of Chipping Campden; it was rebuilt for James West of nearby Alscot Park. The parish of Preaton-on-Stour is just 3 miles south of Stratford-on-Avon but until 1931 it was in the county of Gloucestershire, this is probably due to it belonging to Gloucestershire Monastery.

St Mary?s Church, Preston on Stour
The church has medieval origins but the oldest part now is the late 15th century tower. The remainder of the church from that period was subject to major restoration and in the case of the chancel, rebuilding in 1753-57.
