Ettington Park Hotel
Ettington Park has been in the Shirley family since before the Norman Conquest. Its imposing façade and arched windows still look out onto the 12th century church built on the same site as the Saxon church mentioned along with their ancestors in the Domesday Book. Set in 40 acres of Warwickshire countryside where it nestles in a verdant valley with the River Stour meandering through it, this spectacular Neo-Gothic mansion is still a world apart from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life.

Ettington Park House [1]
Seen from the bridleway is a distant view of the main house which is now a hotel. Dating back to the mid 17th century, the house was re-modelled in 1858-62 and is the most important and impressive High Victorian house in the county. Listed grade I, details are at http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-482970-ettington-park-hotel-ettington Close by the house is a listed garden temple, two tunnels (probably a garden folly or grotto) that are also listed and the remains of a 13th century church that is both listed and a scheduled ancient monument.
