Quinton Parade shops and housing on south side of Daventry Road
Ordnance Survey documents indicate that in 1958 a benchmark levelled at 79.535m above Newlyn Datum was verified on the left hand corner of the William Hill shop, behind the large red wheelie bin.

Daventry Buildings, Cheylesmore
On the corner of Daventry Road (right) and Quinton Road, this distinctive block of shops contains a branch of Devlins, a chain of newsagents indigenous to Coventry. The row of shops continues east for some distance, albeit with more prosaic architecture.

Dated 1936 AD on the facade. Now occupied by Bosworth's butchers, Frances' hair styling and the Kurdish Golden Scissors barbers, with Devlin's newsagents on the corner.
