Mail distribution depot, Middlemarch business park
This carrier occupies two adjacent sites over 700 metres long in total with loading bays for hundreds of vehicles. The nearer building is nearly 400 metres long, visible as a white band on the horizon in long views from the south. The location is thought to have been chosen for its proximity to Coventry airport at Baginton, though how much mail now goes by air is not known. Signage directs traffic to "… Worldwide National Hub". A wintry shower passes southwards.

Landscaped pool, Middlemarch business park
This could be a 'balancing' pond that collects surface water from the business park – its roofs and paved surfaces – so as to release it gradually to the River Avon. However, it seems hardly big enough. Beyond it, mostly in
Image, is the upper lagoon of a group that may have been part of Coventry's early 20th century sewage works. Perhaps they take surface water.
