This could be a 'balancing' pond that collects surface water from the business park – its roofs and paved surfaces – so as to release it gradually to the River Avon. However, it seems hardly big enough. Beyond it, mostly in Image, is the upper lagoon of a group that may have been part of Coventry's early 20th century sewage works. Perhaps they take surface water.
