Double-flowered white cherry by All Saints Road, Emscote, Warwick
The double-flowered form of the native wild cherry is Prunus avium 'Plena'. To be enjoyed it needs plenty of space because it has a wide-spreading habit, unlike its single-flowered cousin. It may be out of fashion though it looks well in parks, parkland and on village greens. This tree is in the garden of the vicarage of All Saints Church.

Northwest on Austin Edwards Drive, Warwick
"The late Mr Austin Edwards lived in Warwick and for several years carried on business in the town as a photographic manufacturer. Austin Edwards lived at The Brook on St Johns and owned the Austin-Edwards Film Works on Wharf Street. He was also a councillor of the Borough of Warwick and remained deeply interested in Warwickians and Warwick affairs generally. During his lifetime Mr Austin Edwards gave generously to the Corporation of Warwick. When Mr Austin Edwards passed away in 1944 he bequeathed his residuary estate to a Charity now known as The Austin Edwards Charity Trust." http://www.austinedwards.org.uk The view is towards the pyramidal roof of St Edith's House; to its left is the glass cone of All Saints Church.
