Garage, Beauchamp Road
These days this building on the NW corner of Beauchamp Road and Trinity Street is a car parts business having at one time been a garage. From the architecture and weather vane it was probably built as stables to serve the large houses hereabouts.

The Great Beast
The birthplace and early home of Aleister Crowley, the man the media dubbed 'the wickedest man in the world' during the early 20th century. An advocate of magic and free love long before the 1960s he was taken up by rock figures such as Jimmy Page. The house at number 30 Clarendon Square is now divided into flats. Needless to say it doesn't have a blue plaque commemorating its most famous resident. Footnote: As of September 2010, the local authorities are considering putting such a plaque on the building!

From house to school
These houses in Beauchamp Avenue, Leamington Spa, were built shortly after the First World War. Unfortunately a terrace of wonderful early Regency houses was demolished to make way for them. Some of the houses have been connected together as part of the Kingsley private school.

Binswood Hall - Leamington College for Boys
This tudor style building was built in 1847. Amongst its successful pupils were Sir Frank Whittle, inventor of the Jet engine who was a scholar here between 1918 and 1923. The school subsequently became part of the North Leamington Community School and at the time the picture was taken the hall was used as part of the Sixth Form Centre
