The birthplace and early home of Aleister Crowley, the man the media dubbed 'the wickedest man in the world' during the early 20th century. An advocate of magic and free love long before the 1960s he was taken up by rock figures such as Jimmy Page. The house at number 30 Clarendon Square is now divided into flats. Needless to say it doesn't have a blue plaque commemorating its most famous resident. Footnote: As of September 2010, the local authorities are considering putting such a plaque on the building!
