Firemen and old fire engine
Easily missed, these pair of firemen flanking an old manual fire engine are above the door of estate agents, R A Bennett & Partners in Euston Place in Leamington Spa.
The sculpted group are in fact the trademark of the Birmingham Fire Office which was established in 1805. The figures were originally on the opposite side of the road on a ledge on the front of the former Locke & England offices at 166 The Parade.

Police station - Royal Leamington Spa
According to Robin Stott this is not just a police station but an entire Justice Centre, one of two in Warwickshire, the other being in Nuneaton. It has accommodation under one roof for all the agencies and charities contributing to Justice Services: - Warwickshire Criminal Justice Board; The Warwickshire Justice Centres; Warwickshire Police Crown Prosecution Service; Her Majesty's Courts Service; Youth Justice Service; Warwickshire Probation Trust; VIP Unit [Victim & Witness Information Partnership]; Victim Support; Her Majesty's Prison Service Legal Services Commission; plus Defence representatives, Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships, and Local Authorities.
The building has at least four separate circulation systems that start from different points but all end in the courts: police and prisoners; judges and magistrates; jury; legal profession, witnesses, public and press; rather theatrical. It is on the site of Leamington Magistrates Court, designed by Frederick Gibberd and Partners, replacing those and the C18th criminal and civil courts in Northgate Street, Warwick.
