The Jet, Brunswick Street
A fairly typical looking 'estate' pub but it is in the Good Beer Guide. I wonder how it got its curious name?

Eagle Rec, Aylesford Street entrance arch
Towards the end of the 19th century Leamington Corporation recognised the need for more public open space for its growing resident population. The Eagle Recreation Ground was laid out in 1898 to serve the town south of the River Leam. In recent years the local community has secured lottery grants for major improvements to this much-loved park, including several ornamental archways designed by local people.

Public footpath beside Rangemaster works, Leamington Spa
This was part of an ancient right of way between Lillington, north of Leamington, and Whitnash to the south. At the end of Althorpe Street it went over the canal by the 'ladder bridge' (pictured, this square) and straight through the original works, the Eagle Foundry. In modern times it has been diverted round the factory. On the right is the end of Eagle Street and at the end of the path is a glimpse of Eagle Rec.
