Rebuilt village hall off Townsend Close
The old Reading Room that served as a village hall has been rebuilt; compare Image The garden at the front has been remodelled around the First World War Memorial Image At the back there is a car park reached from the adjacent Townsend Close development, and a grassed kickabout behind. Nobody I asked seemed to know when the hall was built though in the lobby a certificate records that the building was a finalist in the Biffawards Awards 2009.

The structure appears to be of cast concrete blocks, while the inscription is of metal letters inserted into grey granite. Scanned from a print taken in early 2006 as I recall. The village hall or Reading Room in the background has since been rebuilt.
