Church Street shops, Rugby
A tattoo parlour, a barber's and a 'hair and cosmetics' business form a group of shops on Church Street. Barber's shops in particular seem to have mushroomed in Rugby town centre in recent years for no obvious reason, rather in the way shoe shops did in the 1970s.

44 Church Street, Rugby
This building was for many years a pub - known variously as the Central Hotel and the Graziers Arms - but more recently it has been a night club and, for a time, a lap-dancing venue. For whatever reason, its operators have seemed unable to make a long-term success of any venture and the premises have now been approved for demolition, to be replaced by 22 apartments. This has proved controversial because it stands in a conservation area and there are concerns over parking.
