Paxton Memorial, London Road Cemetery, Coventry
In 1845 Joseph Paxton, while still manager of the Duke of Devonshire's estates, was commissioned by Coventry Corporation to lay out the London Road cemetery. Paxton was knighted for designing and building the Crystal Palace in 1851. He served twice as Liberal MP for Coventry. This monument by Joseph Goddard was erected in 1868 following Paxton's death in 1865.

Prospect Tower, London Road cemetery
At the corner by the northern entrance to the cemetery opened in 1847 with grounds landscaped to Joseph Paxton's design. The tower gave a view over the Sherbourne valley, which was not then built upon. Restored 1995-6.
The gazebo is a grade II listed building.
