A tree in Quex Park, Birchington
Horse chestnut, or Aesculus hippocastanus. Presumably this is an old tree because of its pendulous branches which touch the ground and then curve upwards.

Ornamental pond in the gardens of Quex Park
From 1883, James Cornford, Head Gardener to the Powell-Cotton family of Quex House, worked the productive garden, including the Victorian Walled Garden, to the highest level. By 1902 the gardens had over 20 staff. In 1923 Cornford retired and within a few years the garden became an uneconomic burden. The staff were reduced to just two and the Walled Garden was let for commercial growing. For more about the Walled Garden see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5125007 This attractive pond is on the main lawn. For more about Quex Park and House see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quex_Park
