A former pub or hotel on the corner of Richmond Street and Mortimer Street, built (according to an online source) in 1840. It still bears its name.

Promenade towards Central Bandstand, Herne Bay
The bandstand building now houses purveyors of food and drink. The statue on the left is actually a statue, not someone simulating one. It is of famous aviator Amy Johnson, who died in a plane crash off this coast in 1941.
