Rowing in the River Stour
As seen from Image
This all-female crew come from Image Whose jetty is on the left.
It is used by the University of Kent Rowing Club. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Kent_Rowing_Club for more details.
The river flows from Canterbury (in two small rivers; the Little Stour, Great Stour) towards Sandwich.

Plaque under the Plucks Gutter bridge
Plucks Gutter Bridge as in 1900
Rebuilt 1995
Client: D.S.Molock, Chairman Kent County Council
Engineer: Allan Moatt, RSc(Eng), CEng, FICE, FIHT
Contractor: Costain Civil Engineering
The Steel and composite bridge replaces the old truss girder bridge shown above. The original
bridge was built circa 1900 for the Eastry and Thanet R.D.C. The original design engineers
were W. A. McIntosh Valon and Arthur Valon.
