Planning permission has been approved, with conditions, by Folkestone and Hythe District Council under application number 21/1507/FH for the “erection of a five storey building with roof terraces and mixed use development comprising 9 self-contained flats with flexible commercial space at ground floor level”.
The five storey building would be erected to the north of the premises – where the current car parking area is located.

Looking north-northwest along Cheriton Gardens
To where number 83’s frontage is covered with scaffolding and the garden of number 83 is a mess of broken concrete and a pile of soil and concrete. I don’t know the meaning of the number 34 painted on the wall to the left of the door. This view of Image shows the addresses from another angle.

Planning permission has been approved, with conditions, by Folkestone and Hythe District Council under application number Y07/1599/SH for the "erection of a 4-storey building with basement comprising of three residential units together with one office unit (Class B1)". It doesn't appear as if the building work has been completed.

Brew, 83 Cheriton Gardens, Folkestone
Compared with Image, work on this building has been completed and the ground floor opened as a coffee house http://www.lovefolkestone.com/brew/ To its right, the building shrouded in scaffolding was a florist called The Secret Garden. There was a hand-written notice, inside one of the windows, that read “we have moved to 360, Cheriton Road (opposite the Royal Cheriton pub and Safehands). We are on the same number 01303 252030”.
