It was reported by Kent Live on 4 July 2019 https://www.kentlive.news/news/kent-news/william-hill-set-close-700-3052899 that the bookmaker William Hill would be closing 700 shops across the UK after a change in gambling laws. This is one of more than forty shops that closed in Kent.

This was Imagein August 2012. Following the repainting of the exterior, it is now open for business again as a bookmakers. The roadworks have narrowed the road to one lane, resulting in a build-up of traffic from the town centre.

Road above London Road, Dover
The houses on the northwest side of London Road were built on the valley side of the River Dour, which is why, in this case, the road is above the level of the main thoroughfare. This road, operated as a one-way system, in a northerly direction, and serving as an exit for Anstee Road, Herbert Street, Erith Street, George Street, Shooter’s Hill and Victoria Street, has been provided with a set of traffic lights (seen in the distance) to allow safe vehicular access onto the main thoroughfare.
