On the corner of South Street and Victoria Road. There was a noticeboard behind me advising the public that the work would start on 8 February 2016 and last 13 weeks (but this also applied to other changes that were to be made to South Street).

Whatever was the inspiration behind the name, this quirky little furniture shop in Deal town centre, with its sky blue colour scheme and clock over the door, is certainly eye-catching. According to the website it supplies 'country style furniture, some upcycled and handpainted, some reproduction'. There is also a range of 'decorative items, household accessories, soft furnishings, throws, cushions, scarves, bags, gifts and greeting cards'. Unfortunately, the clock is not showing the right time.

Victoria Road continues as far as High Street at the blue fronted shop but because of the traffic control measures it appears to end here where it becomes Sondes Road.

Planning permission has been granted by Dover District Council under application number DOV/19/00800 for the “change of use of land and building and the provision of a bin store, elevational alterations to building, additional internal seating area, a covered courtyard area and the erection of a smoking shelter for purposes ancillary to the use of the adjoining building and land as a bar and restaurant”.
