Franklin House, 66, New Dover Road
Viewed from St Lawrence Road, this new 66-bed student accommodation for CATS Canterbury has officially opened in the heart of the school’s campus. The new boarding house is designed to bring more students closer to college facilities. Continuing the tradition of honouring the medieval poet Geoffrey Chaucer, the student residence is named Franklin. The Franklin in the Canterbury Tales is characterised by his generosity and hospitality. The accommodation comprises 28 single rooms and 19 shared rooms – all with private bathrooms. In addition, students benefit from indoor and outdoor communal areas for socialising. The school offers full boarding, but kitchen facilities are also provided so students can prepare snacks after school and at the weekend. The student accommodation already boasts 100% occupancy and was officially opened by Principal, Dr Sarah Lockyer https://www.catseducation.com/blog/view,cats-canterbury-opens-new-student-accommodation_2692.htm This was the house, which used to be at Image in February 2018.
