Arches on Royal Parade
These brick arches are those featured in Colin Smith's view of the Royal Temple Yacht Club http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/503791 . However, this view is taken a little way down the road towards Ramsgate from that view and shows a closer shot of the arches. View taken looking northwest from the opposite side of Royal Parade.

Ramsgate: the B2054 reaches the harbour
The main road into town, Royal Parade is the middle one of three roads taking similar courses around the harbourside, but at different elevations. Below it, the Military Road hugs the edge of the marina while Sion Hill and Prospect Terrace, above, provide fine views across the harbour.

Planning permission has been granted by Thanet District Council under application number F/TH/14/0525 for a “change of use and conversion of the public house to 4 2-bed apartments with external alterations to the building including balconies, a roof garden, alterations to windows and doors, and erection of a four storey rear extension following demolition of existing rear extension, together with waste storage area”.
