Wellington Crescent, Ramsgate
Built 1817-24 as part of the expansion of Ramsgate as a Georgian/Regency seaside resort. Listed Grade II as two listings, each comprising the group either side of the break, which is the road named The Plains of Waterloo. The Duke of Wellington stayed in the Crescent in 1825.
Also visible is the East Cliff Bandstand, a 1939 replacement for an earlier one. Finished with faïence columns and roof tiles, it is also Listed Grade II.

Wellington Crescent Cliff Fa?ade
I was not able to obtain this view, on my last visit, due to a Image but this view shows the protective coating that was applied to stabilize the cliff façade, after remedial work had taken place.

Stop Live Exports - the second bandstand
This rally at Ramsgate was called to demonstrate against the export of live animals for food from the UK. Currently the Port of Ramsgate is used as the usual berth at Dover Docks is damaged. The march, attended by about 400 people, went from the bandstand in Ellington Park (Image]) to this one on Wellington Crescent. A speaker is addressing the crowd.
