Built 1817-24 as part of the expansion of Ramsgate as a Georgian/Regency seaside resort. Listed Grade II as two listings, each comprising the group either side of the break, which is the road named The Plains of Waterloo. The Duke of Wellington stayed in the Crescent in 1825. Also visible is the East Cliff Bandstand, a 1939 replacement for an earlier one. Finished with faïence columns and roof tiles, it is also Listed Grade II.
