Compared with
Image, more houses have been erected. As far as I could see, all building work on the other parts of the estate had been completed.

Broadstairs - The Yarrow Hotel
The imposing central frontage of the Yarrow Hotel on Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs.
Built originally as a convalescent home for children in 1895 by Sir Alfred Yarrow, baronet. It was financed partially by his investments and partially by contributions. Originally designed for 100 children who were to spend much of their time in the open air, however the corridors were wide and long enough for them to utilise in bad weather. It was requisitioned as a convalescent home for soldiers during both World Wars. Later it became part of Thanet College, and is now a hotel, but still with connections to the catering college.
