Cedars Avenue crosses Mitcham Common in south London. The road is one-way for motor traffic, heading away from the camera, but there is a contraflow cycle lane enabling cyclists to use the road in both directions.

Cycle route near Mitcham Common
A cycle route onto a road junction at Mitcham Common in south London. The route enables cyclists to avoid busier roads until they reach this junction. The traffic light then gives a green phase to cyclists, enabling them to cross the junction when all other traffic is held at red lights.
