Horse at Heathfield
One of several horses in the field, at the edge of the Heathfield estate. A couple of horses were quite friendly, but this one wandered up to the fence and tried to chew the arm of my jacket. It was after 11:00, but the overnight freezing fog was still to clear.

Bramley Bank
A wild fire occurred here on 19th July. This stand of Austrian pine trees seems unaffected; thick bark is fire-resistant and the lowest branches are about thirty feet above the ground, higher than the reach of the flames from the burning scrub.
