Office block on Park Lane, Croydon
I don't know many town centres where modern blocks are right next to suburban semi-detached houses, but behind this one on Barclay Road are the original houses built between the wars and a return to suburbia beyond. Fairfield Halls are on the left.

No Trains on 1st August
Rail services between London and Gatwick Airport have been seriously disrupted by a burst water main that flooded the track. View looking west, from Park Hill, East Croydon. 18.14, and the lines have just been cleared.
The burst main, in Stanhope Road, was reported at about 09:30 BST. No water supplies have been affected.
Southern Railways have confirmed from 7pm they would be a reduced service from Victoria and London Bridge.
