Church Street, Croydon: queuing for fish on Maundy Thursday
Enough people wanted to buy fish, presumably to eat on Good Friday, for the queue at 5pm to stretch out of the shop and along the road.
Next door to the fishmonger's, the Caribbean restaurant advertised itself with the slogan "One God - one love - one taste of Jamaica."
The tramlines were out of use for works over the bank holiday weekend, and as a result waste bins can be seen encroaching on what would normally be the path of the tram.
