George Street junction with Wellesley Road in 2001
George Street is seen here at its junction with Wellesley Road. The tram was in the former red and white livery, used until the system was taken over by Transport for London in 2008.
The photograph has been commercially scanned from an APS format negative, so the quality is not as high as one would like, but the photo is of some historic interest.
