Old Milestone by Maldon Cemetery, London Road, Maldon Parish
Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of MALDON (MALDON District), opposite Maldon Cemetery, by the road, on North West side of road. Erected by the Chelmsford (Div of Essex First Dist) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (Chelmsford / 9) : : (Maldon / 1) : Carved bench mark on North face. Milestone Society National ID: EX_MGMN37.

Burial Mound
After many years of ploughing,the burial mound or tumulus marked on the OS map near the junction of Cut-a-Thwart Lane and the road to Beeleigh is still just about discernible.
