Woodfield Cottages
This is the central row of three rows of these cottages (40 cottages in all) at Heybridge. They were built in 1873 by E.H.Bentall, agricultural implement manufacturer for his workforce. Each cottage has its washroom/lavatory opposite. For details from the plaque at the end of this row see Image

Woodfield Cottages, plaque
This is on the end wall of the first cottage in the central row of three (40 cottages in all). The plaque has been erected by Maldon District Council and Maldon District Heritage Forum. It reads: "WOODFIELD COTTAGES These 40 cottages were erected in 1873 by E.H.Bentall, agricultural implement manufacturer, for his workforce.
