Corn Exchange, Bishop's Stortford
Large neo-Grecian style building (1828) in the centre of Bishop's Stortford which once was surrounded by a very large malting industry. http://www.bishopsstortfordtc.gov.uk/

Market Square, Bishop's Stortford
A view through to St Michael's church past the empty Lloyds Bank building (right, currently Halifax) and the original incarnation of Clement Joscelyn (now moved down the hill a bit). I see the small carpark no longer exists, the area having been paved to accommodate al fresco dining in front of what is (in 2011) Zizzi - see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/546295.

Lane off Market Square
Leads eventually to Church Street. The building is a former army drill hall, dating from 1906 http://www.drillhalls.org/Counties/Hertfordshire/TownBishopsStortford.htm . 2014 update: Formerly used as a health centre, the drill hall was recently sold by the NHS. There is a proposal to convert it to an Italian Restaurant.

Corn Exchange, Bridge Street, Bishop?s Stortford
Designed in the neo-classical style by Lewis Vulliamy, and built in 1928, the Corn Exchange is still one of the few 19th century buildings in Bishop’s Stortford of real architectural merit. It is the oldest corn exchange in Hertfordshire and by far the most distinguished.

Building in the centre of Bishop's Stortford
Once no doubt an important civic building but now an important bar. Nice.
