Hertfordshire Constabulary - Bishops Stortford and Sawbridgeworth Neighbourhood

I am the Chief Inspector for the East Herts Police area which covers the towns of Hertford, Ware, Buntingford, Bishop's Stortford and Sawbridgeworth.

I joined the constabulary in 2006 and have held roles in front line policing, SNT, Response and the force control room before joining East Herts SNT in 2021. I am the Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector for Bishops Stortford, Hertford, Sawbridgeworth, Ware, Buntingford and the surrounding rural areas.

PC 296 Obi ANOLIEFO covers Bishops Stortford Town Centre. PC Anoliefo joins having completed a degree in law receiving an LLB with honours.

PC Anoliefo can also speak German, Igbo and English fluently.

I have responsibility for Broxbourne and East Herts as the Hate Crime Officer.

PC 1432 Carruthers joined the constabulary in 2003.

PC 1432 Julia Carruthers covers the South Ward of Bishop's Stortford including Thorley, Havers and St. Michaels Mead.

PC Marshall joined the constabulary 2005, coming into the SNT in 2015. PC Marshall is a quadbike rider and often assists with community days taking the quad bike. PC Marshall will also utilise her quad bike skills for rural operations.

PC 2277 Shelly Marshall is the local officer covering Sawbridgeworth, Spellbrook and High Wych.

PC Lewin has been a PC for 20 years having joined in 2002, spending his whole service so far in East Herts.

PC 2165 Derek LEWIN is the local police officer for the North of Bishop's Stortford which includes Parsonage Lane, Stortford Fields and Bishop's Park.

PC 257 Gent joined the constabulary in 2003. PC Gent has worked in various departments including intervention and case investigations unit.

PC 257 Steve GENT is the local police officer for Bishop's Stortford town centre.

PC Gibbs joined the Constabulary in 1999. He also holds specialist skills, including search officer, CBRNe and is also a TASER officer.

PC Kevin GIBBS is one of the local officers covering the South of Bishop's Stortford which includes St. Michael's Mead, Havers Lane and Thorley.

PC Newton joined the constabulary in 2003. She has worked on several departments including intervention.

PC 2130 Kelly NEWTON covers Bishops Stortford South. PC Newton has experience in engaging with the younger communities and divisionary work to future proof the next generation!

PCSO Rippon joined the constabulary 2019, initial starting his career in Buntingford then moving to Bishops Stortford.

PCSO 6727 Mark RIPPON covers the South Ward of Bishop's Stortford which covers Thorley, Havers and St. Michaels Mead.

PCSO Blanks has been with the SNT since 2009. Prior to working in Bishops Stortford, he has also covered Hertford and Buntingford SNTs. PCSO Blanks is trained in the use of 4x4 vehicles, which can be of assistance to the stranded driver, and for rural patrols.

PCSO 6135 Steve BLANKS is one of the local PCSOs covering Bishop's Stortford town centre.

PCSO Pemberton has been with the SNT since 2014. PCSO Pemberton is a PCSO tutor and imparts his knowledge to new officers coming to the team.

PCSO Pemberton covers Bishops Stortford North, career opportunities have broadened PCSO Pembertons knowledge regards engagement and divisionary work in relation to the younger members of our community.

PCSO Supervisor 6631 Clare Andrews joined the SNT 2004, Clare has worked in several different areas within Bishops Stortford.

PCSO 6631 Clare Andrews covers the new development on Stortford Fields North. PCSO Andrews is an avid cyclist so you will often see her out and about in the area on one of our new ebikes!

PCSO Rome joined the constabulary in 2006. PCSO Rome prior to coming to Bishops Stortford has also covered Broxbourne.

PCSO 6629 Scott Rome covers the North Wards of Bishop's Stortford covering Stortford Fields, Hadham Road and Stanstead Road.

PCSO 6010 Collins joins the team bringing with her Policing experience which will assist and support the team moving forwards.

PCSO 6010 Collins will be joining the cohort of officers on Bishops Stortford South.

PCSO Szrajber has been with the SNT since 2020. PCSO Szrajber swapped the lofty heights of cabin crew to follow a more grounded career!

PCSO Szrajber is bilingual speaking Polish and English.
PCSO 6618 Edyta SZRAJBER covers the North Ward of Bishops Stortford which includes Heath Row, Stortford Fields and Oriole Way.

PCSO Townsend has been with the SNT since 2021.

PCSO 6645 Lucy TOWNSEND covers the South, prior to working on the South PCSO Townsend also worked in the town centre.

I have been employed by Herts Police since 1997, and I am currently the Anti-Social behaviour officer for East Herts District. I have had numerous roles during my career for the Police including working in both the intelligence unit and major crime and as a Scene of Crime officerI joined Herts Police in 1997, and I am the anti-social behaviour officer for the East Herts District.
